The Smart Stay Hotel Berlin City is located in Charlottenburg, in the centre of Berlin and was opened in 2013. Our modern hotel provides a clear, aesthetic accent in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We offer single, double and multibed-rooms with WC, shower, hairdryer. Every room is equipped with a flatscreen-TV, free WIFI and a telephone. In the lobby you can relax and watch TV in our lounge, or play billiard or enjoy a cocktail at our hotel bar.
Are you on a business trip? Do not worry! Our Hotel is only two underground stops away from Trade Fair Center Berlin (Messe Berlin Nord/ICC). Heading to Tegel Airport? There is no need to hurry, public transport gets you there in approx. 20 minutes. Our privat parking lot behind the Hotel gives you the possibility to park your car at a low daily rate.

Larger groups and families are recommended to reserve one of our multibed rooms for sharing. But solo travelers are also welcome here – the beds can be booked individually. All multi-bed rooms have their own bathroom with shower, toilette and hairdryer as well as flatscreen TV, telephone and free Wifi access - perfect for class trips.

We are delighted that you have chosen to stay with us and we will of course do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. In return, we therefore ask you to behave in a way that will neither inconvenience your fellow guests, nor our neighbors. Please also pay attention to the following rules:
Following the decision to ensure protection for non-smokers in Germany, the statutorysmoking ban has been enforced in the entire building since 1.1.2008.
In the interest of other guests and our valued neighbors, please keep the noise down to amoderate level in all rooms and in the corridors from 10:00 pm onwards.
In the case of grossly negligent behavior, causing any damage or soiling of the building or its inventory, the costs for the resulting damages shall be covered by the person responsible. Compensation payments for damages must be paid without delay and in cash. In the case of groups, the accompanying supervisors, if necessary, on behalf of the organizer, are obliged to cover the expenses up front before departure. Deliberate damage to property will be immediately reported to the authorities.
Theft will be immediately reported to the authorities.
Pets and animals are not allowed in the hotel.
The use of illegal drugs is explicitly forbidden on our premises.
Drunk guests can be refused to the hotel.
In the case of infringements against one or more of the afore mentioned rules, we are entitled at any time to cancel the accommodation contract without notice. In this case, the guest is still obliged to pay for the accommodation they have booked.
On your day of arrival, you can check in to your room from 2:00 pm. We take 5 Euro in pawn for the keycard. If you return the keycard before departure, you will get your money back. Please check out by 11:00 am on your day of departure.
On arrival and departure days, you can store your luggage in our luggage room free of charge. However, we would like to explicitly point out that we do not assume any liability for luggage or valuables.
Please do not take the food or eating utensils to your room. This is forbidden for reasons of hygiene.
The emergency exit staircase may only be used in case of a fire. If you are unable to access the staircase during a fire, please stay in your room and close the door and attract attention at an open window. Do not lock the door of your room under any circumstances.

At a length of 1.3 kilometers painted 118 artists from around the world along the interior wall of the mill road between Oberbaumbruecke and Ostbahnhof. In 1990, after the reunification the artists had to paint the East Side Gallery in 2009 again in its original due to car exhaust.

At the end of Tiergarten you are more or less automatically heading towards the Brandenburg Gate, Berlin’s symbol for re-unification, surrounded by the Reichstag, Germany’s parliament building, that we do recommend to pay a visit to also. Don’t get alarmed by the long cues, they pass faster than you imagine… On the opposite you will see the chancellor’s residence, the Kanzleramt, amongst locals called “Waschmachine” (=laundromat). Have a look at it and you will figure out, why that is.
Schloss Charlottenburg
The largest and most beautiful castle in Berlin! The castle was built at the request of Sophie Charlotte, the wife of Frederic III, as a summer residence. From every corner of the castle you have a magnificent view in the large garden, which isespecially admired by visitors today. The Victory Column, with its golden Victoria, is also known as "The Gold Else." To commemorate the victory of the Prussian-Danish war, it was built to plans by Heinrich Strack.
