The Smart Stay Hostel Munich City is the perfect accommodation for backpackers and travel groups in Munich. The hostel is situated in the heart of the Bavarian capital, directly at the Theresienwiese, and it is only 2 metro stops (10 minutes on foot) from the city center. We offer a range of renovated single, double and multi-bed rooms in a modern design that can be set up according to your needs.
Upscale two, four, six and eight-bed rooms with own shower/WC, lockers, dressing room and fresh linen are available on all five floors.

Are you planning a group or a school trip to Munich? Would you like to visit the city with your family? The dorms in our Smart Stay Hostel Munich City are perfect as an alternative for a youth hostel in Munich. But solo travelers are also welcome here – the beds can be booked individually. Gender-specific occupancy of the rooms is also possible, for example as a dorm for ladies only.

We are delighted that you have chosen to stay with us and we will of course do everything we can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. In return, we therefore ask you to behave in a way that will neither inconvenience your fellow guests, nor our neighbors. Please also pay attention to the following rules:
Following the decision to ensure protection for non-smokers in Germany, the statutory smoking ban has been enforced in the entire building since 1.1.2008.
Any infringements of this rule will lead to a fine of 50 euros and you will be asked to leave the hostel.
Please do not throw anything out of the windows. The hostel is under video surveillance. Any infringement of this rule will be reported to the appropriate authorities and you will be fined 200 euros as compensation. You will also be immediately escorted from the property.
Please do not loiter in front of the hostel after 11:00 pm. We are located in a residential area and do not wish to have the sleep of our valued neighbors disturbed.
The use of illegal drugs is explicitly forbidden on our premises. Any infringement of this rule will lead to immediate expulsion from the property.
Damage to the property of others (vandalism), violence, insults, threatening behavior, and harassment of any kind will result in immediate expulsion from the property.
Behavior that could lead to injuries or puts the safety of others at risk will result in you being immediately escorted from the property.
On your day of arrival, you can check in to your room from 2:00 pm. We take 2 Euro in pawn for the keycard. If you return the keycard before departure, you will get your money back. Please check out by 10:00 am on your day of departure.
On arrival and departure days, you can store your luggage in our luggage room free of charge. However, we would like to explicitly point out that we do not assume any liability for luggage or valuables.
Please do not take the food or eating utensils to your room. This is forbidden for reasons of hygiene.
The emergency exit staircase may only be used in case of a fire. If you are unable to access the staircase during a fire, please stay in your room and close the door and attract attention at an open window. Do not lock the door of your room under any circumstances.
Misuse of the fire alarm, the emergency exits, and the fire extinguishers will lead to immediate expulsion from the property and any incurred costs are to be paid by the person responsible.

memorable we like to point our following Hostel rules and regulations:
- Please keep the rooms and bathrooms tidy and clean.
- We assume no liability or warranty for any damages you and your guest might cause.
- We disclaim liability for your wardrobe or valuable articles.
- It is strictly forbidden to write or to damage the furniture. Vandalism is a serious
offence and be charged additionally to your room payment. - All beds are made up with fresh bed linen; new sheets can be picked up at the
reception. We kindly ask you to remove the bed sheets when you check out.
Thank you for your consideration. - From 10.00 p.m. til 06.00 a.m. we kindly ask you to keep silent due to our resting
periods within the hostel. Parties or social gatherings in the rooms are not permitted. - Our fully-fitted Kitchen located on the 2nd floor is open between 06.00 a.m. and 10.00
p.m. Due to sanitarily reasons it is strictly forbidden to take food or used cutlery on
your room. - Drunken visitors and guests can be expelled from the hostel.
- Expensive and time consuming cleaning due to vandalism or uncontrolled
chundering/vomiting within the hostel complex or your room, will be charged with
a fine of EUR 50,00 per person on the day of departure. However, your cooperation
is very much appreciated. - Please shut of all lights and windows when you leave the room.
- Possession of illegal drugs, toxic- or hazardous material is strictly prohibited.
- Smoking is not allowed in the hostel complex at anytime. Any abuse will be charged with EUR 50,00.
- Animals are not allowed within the hostel complex and the rooms.
- We are happy to receive suggestions and feedbacks for improvement.

Old and New Pinakothek
The Old Pinakothek is one of the most significant and time-honored painting galleries in the world and exhibits paintings from the Middle Ages to the mid-18th century. As well as works from the Classicist period, the New Pinakothek also houses exhibits from the Romantic, Art Nouveau and Impressionist periods.
Old South Cemetery (Alter Südfriedhof)

Old Town Hall (Altes Rathaus)
The Old Town Hall looks back on an eventful history: It has been redesigned several times and was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War. Court Garden at Odeonsplatz (Der Hofgarten am Odeonsplatz)
It was created between 1613 and 1617 under Maximilian I., Elector of Bavaria, as an Italian-style Renaissance garden.
